Community-ID Wiki / DokumentationCommunity-ID Wiki / Documentation

I finally got around to recovering as much of the Original Community-ID documentation as possible. To be honest there wasn’t a whole lot to recover in the first place and the fact that the site has been offline for a few years has not made the search at all easy.

If you happen to have any further information and/or documentation that I can have to further reconstruct the project please let me know.

Here is a link to what I have recovered to date and I hope to be able to add to it some more shortly: Community-ID Project Wiki

I have added Support Forums and will be adding public access to the GIT repo soon. I am also in the process of gathering all the Documentation that I can find and will be adding an area for that as well in the future.

Community-ID 2.0 rc3 jetzt hier Erhältlich!Community-ID 2.0 rc3 now available here!

Community-ID is an OpenID implementation in PHP that is OpenID 2.0 compliant. Community-ID is built 100% on Open Source software and is released under the BSD license. Users can keep track of their trusted sites and manage them.

For Community-ID administrators statistics are available to track the registration of new users, authorized users per day or the number of trusted sites. Administrators can set the site in maintenance mode or send emails to all registered users.

For user data and authentication, admin can choose the default db storage, or to connect to an LDAP server. Community-ID currently supports OpenLDAP. Other LDAP servers should work also fine.

Modified webcp.php daemon (part 2)

Submitted by: Slydder

Well, it’s been a while since I wrote the first part to this little series and thought “what the hey, let’s do part 2”.

As I wrote in Part 1, I used to be involved in a web-hosting control panel project called WebCP (www.web-cp.net) while I was employed at adnewmedia Online GmbH. Now we needed a way to completely automate the creation of hosting accounts on multiple virtual hosting servers. The webcp.php daemon used in the WebCP project was almost there already and needed just a slight push to make it really powerful (dangerous? Depends on how you look at it).

WebCP Server Setup Script 0.1 Beta 1 coming soon!

Submitted by: Slydder

Hello,

I am just finishing up Beta 1 of the WebCP Server Setup script. Have added a few new features and am looking for daring people ready and willing to test on differing platforms. Some new features are:

Support for WebCP 0.5.7
BSD support extended
Linux support extended

With the Beta release the script has taken on a very versitile form. Therefore I especially need people who can test on the following:

OpenBSD
NetBSD
FreeBSD
Ubuntu
Debian
Slackware
any other Linux platform except RedHat

Be advised that this is beta level software and will have bugs. Please be as specific as possible when reporting problems and do so only in the support forum for the Script.

Thanks a bunch,
chuck

WebCP 0.6 Server Setup Script 0.1 alpha 3!

Submitted by: Slydder

OK,

Here is, hopefully, the last alpha of the WebCP 0.6 Server Setup Script. I will be looking at expanding the supported OS's in the beta releases to come. Once one can safely install WebCP on more than a Linux box I will start allowing for package installation and configuration (apache, php, mysql, etc…) on a distro basis.

see the download area for more.

Submitted by: Slydder

I just released the Alpha version of setup.sh. A shell script to ease the installation of WebCP 0.6 from the WebCP CVS repository.

Be advised that this version has limited error checking and is not to be run on production systems.

See the WebCP Download area for more.

have fun.
